SMS is a convenience feature that allows your customers to send a keyword to a number and get a link to your documents to fill out. This is no different than adding a link to your website and informing your customers to visit it and click it there. We generally recommend this feature for clients with a volume of 250+ submissions per day.
SMS is an addon option available for subscription plans up to the WM-1000 plan for a monthly fee. 100 messages and 1 keyword are included. SMS is a free addon for WM-1000 and above subscriptions.
If you’d like to add SMS and activate it, please send us the keyword you’d like to use to support@waivermaster.com. Please send three keywords, in order of priority, that you wish to use so we can check on availability. Generally we recommend something that would be similar to your business name, services you offer or something your customers would find easy to remember. Make sure the keyword is all lowercase and one word, no spaces. We suggest a single word that will not be “split up” by the phone’s auto-correct functionality. It must be a minimum of five characters long. Make sure your request is sent to us using the email associated with your WaiverMaster account.
An example of a three keyword submission request for a company called Dunder Mifflin Paper Company might be:
Keyword 1: dunder
Keyword 2: paper
Keyword 3: papers
Once activated, you will receive an email confirmation that your keyword is active. Your clients will now be able to send a text with your keyword to 215.999.2345 and will receive a link to your documents/forms.
Your subscription will be automatically updated, if applicable, for the addition of SMS.
